Rooftop Prince

I usually get frustrated watching the first few episodes of any romantic comedy drama. They almost never really get to the plot so I always start with like the third episode. I usually keep my head up for anytime there are any new good upcoming dramas. I saw a Rooftop Prince poster a few weeks before it aired and it already kind of caught my attention, but not as much as The King 2 Hearts. It turned out that I actually fell in love with Rooftop prince more than The King 2 Hearts.
How are they not the cutest couple ever?! LOVE <3

I like realistic dramas. I like picturing myself in the drama as if it was actually happening. Although something like the scenario in Rooftop Prince may never happen, it was still such a beautiful and realistic drama after the time travel plot. If you love romantic comedies as much as I do, then you can't miss out on this drama.

SPOILER ALERTTTTTTTT. Don't read if you dont want to know what happens! Don't say I never told you guys!! :)

Rooftop prince starts out with the Crown Prince of the Joseon Era (sorry if I'm wrong, i'm not even Korean) and the death of his wife. He's shaken up by it and he's determined to solve the case of the murder. I think a few hours pass by before he actually time travels into modern day Korea. He lands on Bak Ha's rooftop. How cute!! The Crown Prince is accompanied by the "Power Rangers". They are just so cute with their attire and long hair!

Bak Ha reluctantly takes them in, but they are grateful. It takes them a while to get used to the current day ways and they have their ups and downs. The Crown Prince or our Micky sees Se Na, who is Bak Ha's sister and it turns out that she is the Crown Princess. Micky pursues her, but he doesn't really know of he evil ways.

Then after some confusion, Micky says he is Yong Tae Yong, who is the grandson of a wealthy chairman who has been looking for her grandson for years. To Tae Mu, Tae Yong's cousin, it's a nightmare because he supposedly killed his cousin in New York, but no one knew about it but him.

Micky still continues to pursue Se Na, but Bak Ha ends up falling for Micky. He rejects her at first because he kind of likes Se Na and claims that it is his purpose to marry Se Na in the current era to figure out the murder of 300 years ago.

Se Na pretty much hates Bak Ha and she tells her that she is going to take everything away from Bak Ha, including our Micky!! I really hate Se Na in the drama, but the actress is really good. Bak Ha decides to leave the rooftop because to her dismay, Se Na and Micky/ Yong Tae Yong get engaged. Bak Ha decides to move a few hours away and goes to find a job. She cleans her room and writes a letter to the guys telling them how much they meant and how much fun she had and blah blah blah. She didn't finish the letter and she wasn't leaving that day, but she leaves to house on her job search. She quits the job at Tae Yong's company and leaves. Tae Yong comes to find her but the boss tells her that she quit that day and left.

He searches frantically for her but he can't find her anywhere and she won't pick up her phone. By the way, this is probably my most favorite scene. Everyone acted so well, and thats probably why I'm writing in depth of this scene. Anyways, moving on! He becomes kind of depressed thinking that Bak Ha left and lights up the sparklers that were supposed to be hers. She comes back the next morning though to find Tae Yong sitting outside. He sees and he is kind of shocked but he looks relieved at the same time! He tells her that he actually does like her but she just say that he always just does what he wants and she turns around. He pulls her back though and kisses her!!! I love that scene and I think i've seen it like a thousand times by now.

Anyways, they begin to like each other. Tae Yong then finds out about Se Na and Tae Mu and their evil plans and calls the engagement off (of course).  Tae Mu finds out that the REAL Yong Tae Yong is alive (although in a coma) and brings him back to Korea to tell the chairman the truth and become the CEO. Luckily, our Micky and the power rangers and better then that and they somehow once again convince Tae Mu that Micky is the real Tae Yong again. They hide the real Tae Yong in a different hospital. Micky uses this chance to figure out what Tae Mu actually did in New York because he knows that something is fishy.

Meanwhile, Bak realizes that Micky and the power rangers are beginning to disappear. I hate that the most!! Bak Ha also finds her mom which brings an interesting twist to the whole story. Also, the chairman dies and "Tae Yong" figures out what Se Na and Tae Mu did. Eventually Tae Mu figures out that Tae Yong is fake again and tries his best to kill him, but too bad Bak Ha gets in the way. Then Micky realizes that the Crown Princess didn't die 300 years ago, it was Bu Yong (or Bak Ha).

He pieces all the puzzle pieces together and figures everything out towards the end. Tae Mu is found out and Se Na turns herself in.

The saddest thing though is yet to come!  Bak Ha wants to get married to Micky, and he at first says no but he gives in. But as soon as they get married, he disappears for good >.< MICKY COME BACK! I WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!!!! NOOO!!

He goes back the Joseon and meets up with the power rangers who get there before. He figures out the case in that era too but he's pretty sad without Bak Ha.

Bak Ha continues to live in a daze in Korea without Micky. The REAL Yong Tae Yong wakes up and sees Bak Ha. He's seen her before in the beginning of the drama back in New York and thought that she was really pretty! He smiles when he sees her but she doesn't even look up! Look up Bak Ha!! ITS MICKY!! He gives her a postcard just like in New York and tells her to meet somewhere. She does because he recognizes the postcard and the initials. She knows Tae Yong from all the drama before and because and Crown Prince and Tae Yong look the same. She gets there and he shows up behind her in a kind of creep way.

He asks her where she was and that he's been waiting and she tells him that she's always been there! It's so cute because of the way Micky is standing because it resembles the crown prince, but it's not him. I guess the viewers can take the ending however the way they want. That's what makes it special I guess! Finally at the end they say in their minds "Even if 300 years pass, I will love you forever!"

SQUEEEEEEEEELLLLL.

I have officially fell in love with Micky Yoo Chun. He's just TOO GOOD! I can't wait for the next drama.

And for the music, the OST is amazing too. I love all the songs form the drama, and that almost never happens.

Guys, if you love asian dramas, you have to HAVE TO watch this drama. It's the most cutest thing ever. It has that hint of action and mystery, but it has the romance and comedy that everyone loves. Your heart will literally melt watching Micky! Well, at least for the girls haha.

ENJOY IT! :)

Boys Over Flowers!! :)

This was the very first Asian drama that I saw, so it's going to be the first one I write about!

This story is from the manga, Hana Yori Dango, which is Japanese. Now this has been made in a lot of languages, like Taiwanese which is Meteor Garden and Japanese which is Hana Yori Dango. If you've seen one of the others, still watch this one, because they still have their own take on this.

The story is quite cute and it got me hooked. I found that in most dramas, I don't like to watch every little detail and I don't really care about the story of the other characters. Even though this is the first drama I watched, I watched every second of it. There are a few sub stories and it feels like these characters are never going to have happy moments, but it keeps you wanting more all the same.

The story is about Geum Jan Di, a poor girl, and Goo Jun Pyo, a very rich and arrogant boy. Well, it's isn't your average, rich boy meets poor girl and they fall in love story. I mean it is, but not in the beginning at least. Most people say that the story is about Geum Jan Di and the F4 which inclues Goo Jun Pyo, Ji Hoo, Yi Jung, and Woo Bin. I guess it kind of is, but it's really just about Jan Di and Jun Pyo, and my favorite, Ji Hoo.

You'd think that the whole drama was about how Jun Pyo falls for Jan Di and how he tries to make her his, but it's more! It's about all the hardships that come with their status. It's like a Korean Romeo and Juliet almost.

I don't want to ruin the whole thing for you though.

At first, I didn't like curly head Jun Pyo who is played by Lee Min Ho. His curls look perfect...perfectly fake. I didn't like how he treated Jan Di and really thought his love was a lie. Being the "leader" of F4, I didn't like him even more. He's the childish one really. Now Lee Min Ho, he's a phenomenal actor. And he has straight hair....

But because of his role in the beginning, I found my favorite character for this drama. Here comes in Ji Hoo. According to Woo Bin or Kim Jun, he's the 4 dimensional character. He's really just perfect in every way. In the beginning, he treats Jan Di the same way...until he sees the sweet little girl she is. His hair annoyed me a little, but it was like they read my mind, because it changes half way through the drama. I wish it were the same for curly head. He's my favorite like I said, and I feel like he has it the worst throughout. He's the sweetest and he gets hurt the most. He knows what to fight for and you can really tell that he thinks of others first.

Ji Hoo is played by none other then Kim Hyun Joong, who is also a k-pop singer. I didn't really....appreciate...his voice in the drama but after hearing him sing now, omg I melt. I wish he acted more, seriously.

Then comes Ki Bum, who plays the Casanova, Yi Jung. You can tell that he loves his friends and that he would do anything for them. But he's really the player here. I like his role, and I think he's a great actor, but I hate they way he treats girls. After looking at everyone so far, you realize that they have all had a rough past, although they are filthy freaking rich. He doesn't really have a big role, but i'm always glad when he does show up. He has a bigger role then our next guy too.

This leads me to Woo Bin who is played by Kim Jun. You know, there is always that guy who tries to talk English in these dramas. In this drama, it's him. He's like the Don Juan and more like the gangster guy. He has a rough past too, but he fights for his friends till the end and it's all too cute. I wish he had a bigger role. He's always with Yi Jung too...

Finally, there is Jan Di, who is played by Koo Hye Sung. She's just one of those characters that you can't really hate. Well actually, you can debate that. There's something about here that seems off. She plays a strong female lead which I really love. I hate dramas that make the girl looks pathetic and desperate. In this, she sticks up for what is right and I love her attitude. I think that she makes people happy but she hurts them equally in the drama.

Overall, this drama is worth while thing to see. I usually skip a lot, but I loved watching every second. The characters here have all acted so well that I really just love the ones that need the love and hate that ones that really just push it. I'm happy that this was my first drama.

If you have time, please watch! It's a cute story and it literally makes your heart melt. I really wish they could have made a season 2!

I tried to watch the other dramas that these guys have acted in, but I really think that this group is untouchable. They just made this amazing drama that I don't really think can be replaced. It's not my absolute favorite drama, but it's really high up on my list. And boy, I've got a long list.

Thanks for reading <3
